Summary

LoomQuest is designed to collect as little data as possible. We do not require accounts, and we do not build user profiles or sell personal data. Some features rely on cloud-based AI generation, which means certain gameplay text is sent to a third-party inference provider to generate responses.

Data LoomQuest may process

AI generation (third-party processing)

LoomQuest uses a Qwen model served via Hugging Face as an inference endpoint. When you request AI-generated content, the app sends the minimum necessary prompt/context to produce the response. We do not intentionally include sensitive personal information in prompts.

Hugging Face states that for Inference Endpoints they do not store customer payloads/tokens, while logs may be retained for up to 30 days for debugging. Data is encrypted in transit (TLS/SSL). For details, refer to Hugging Face documentation and policies.

Health / Steps

If you choose to enable step-based progression, LoomQuest may read step totals from your device’s health/activity sources (e.g., Apple Health), and use them to drive progression. LoomQuest aims to keep step processing local whenever possible; however, step totals or derived progression signals may be included as part of the gameplay context sent for AI generation.

What we do NOT do

Data retention

LoomQuest does not intentionally store your AI prompts or generated content on developer-controlled servers. Third-party providers (such as Hugging Face) may retain limited operational logs for a period of time as described in their documentation.
